Review of The Lemonheads
by Jeff Wisser
From the Evanston Review, September 2006
Evan Dando gets the band back together and it's not an unwelcome reunion. The songs are often strong, as is Dando's deep voice, and the band plays with a fury that it lost when Dando went Pretty-Boy after "It's a Shame About Ray." Dando's rich croon, juxtaposed against the band's punky chops is a fun counterpoint. Will it launch the Lemonheads back into the limelight? Not likely. But this is a worthy little time-waster of an album.
