Soon to become the downtrodden Grant Hart to Evan Dando's monstrously gifted Bob Mould, on the Lemonheads' first album doe-eyed Ben Deily sounded the more likely man to drag a blow-dried approximation of punk rock into a million college dorm-rooms. On Second Chance the Harvard heart-throb's bitter tears crystallise into hormonal guitar rage as he snarls back at a former girlfriend. Listen and wonder how anyone so posh and so American could sound so much like Stiff Little Fingers' Jake Burns.
